Moving on.....

Enough with all the deep thinking for now...I have quilting to do;)  I finally got my space set up.  I like it  a whole bunch;)  I haven't had this much space to myself in years.  Not bragging, just sharing;)  Here are some pictures......

(I don't have my picture editing software loaded yet on my laptop, so please bear with me here.)

I pretty much took over the living room. I love having space to call my own.  I can set up shop and not worry about it being in the way;)   Of course, the hubby had to have his space too...

No bathing beauties though;)

Oscar has been making his rounds, discovering and picking out his new hang out spots....

He has never had so much sunshine in his life;)  He is loving it.  And the views he has...the other apartment was just over looking rooftops.  In this one he gets to see the tree, the parking lot, the grass, etc.  He is in cat heaven;)  But his favorite spot of all is....

....right in the middle of a work in progress;)

I have alot of things on my plate right now, some more pleasant than others.  The unpleasant I will share with you all when it is over.  The pleasant.....I am putting together a class for a local quilt shop.  I have decided after some recent events that I need to live my dream....quilting as a career.  It may take some time and some serious effort, but it is what makes me tick.

Speaking of quilting....

My nephew says "Thanks Aunt Kathy!!!!  I love it!!!!!"
I go that finished just before the move;)  I had a blast with it;)

Current project....

It really looks better in person. Really "girly".  The ruffles were fun to put together and makes it all that much more feminine.  I like it;)

Anyway, I am really, really tired, but can't sleep.  I have alot to do before tomorrow is over.
Have a good evening, and to all, Happy Quilting!!

Oscar must think it's the bees knees! I bet he loos at that tree and wonders how many birdies come to visit. You have a fantastic space for your quilting. Nice quilts too! Ann :-)

Enjoyed the pictures of your new sewing space! Looks great! And it's a good thing DH has his own corner. Oscar looks pretty happy too! The baby quilt (and baby) looks so cute. I'm sure he will enjoy the bright colors!

I'm jealous of all the space! :D I do a lot of my quilting work in the front room, too. The ironing board lives in the corner, never down, and my sofa table always has a cutting mat on it. I laughed out loud at the pic of your hubby in his space. Oscar on the greens is great. Aren't cats just like that?

Your space is amazing -- it puts my little bedroom sewing area to shame. How nice for Oscar, too.
Living your dream is a wonderful idea. The serious effort will be so worthwhile. I love your current project, too!

All that space looks wonderful! You should follow your dream. Put the work into it and it will come true. Your little nephew is adorable and I love the quilt. The one with ruffles is pretty, too. Enjoy the new setup!

I saw that view and wondered what room you took over - I'd guessed the dining room, but the living room works just as well! I know how nice it is to have a space like that, even if I have been spoiled since we moved into our house almost 10 years ago - I remember the days of sewing on the kitchen table and always having to clean up.

The quilts look great - I like the girly ruffles and saw that technique somewhere recently and thought it would be fun to try...someday!

Good luck on your dream of quilting as a carreer. I know you can do it. You're full of inspiration and beautiful ideas, I'm sure you'll be successful! And someday, I'll say "hey, I knew her way back when and had to send her extra red fabric because she nearly ruined a quilt with the first batch..." :)

Your new space is fab! Lots of room and light and storage. Oscar looks very happy. Of course his favorite spot is on the fabric you are working with....some things never change.
Love the baby and the baby quilt. The girly quilt is really cute with those ruffles.
You are so creative that I think you better just jump in with both feet and do it!
