Show and Tell Time;)

I finally got unpack my goodies.  We have all giggled about how where there is a quilter there is a way and that sometime's we have to leave things behind in order to get the goodies home.....
This is a small carry-on bag.  I didn't want to have to buy another bag to get stuff home, so I got creative.  There is something in every nook in cranny in this.

Yes, the sewing machine was in there too.  And, no, Oscar was not but wishes he had been;)

I did my usual scouting for fun black and whites.

Mom found this one and wants a tote made out of it;)

Of course you know me and Halloween;)  Too cute and way fun!  I have plans for these and will show you as soon as I find the magazine again.

I love these!  I found them at Quiltworks in Bend, Oregon.  All I have to do is find a cream to go with it and I plan on making something like this....

The picture doesn't do it much justice, but it is a gorgeous quilt;)

I couldn't pass up this...had to pick up something beachy/ocean related along the coast;)

Just because it was fun....love the look on that fish;)

Have no idea what I will use it for, but I love those owls and the colorway here;)

Another "you know me" piece;)

Odds and ends that caught my eye along the way;)

Yes!!!!  Finally found a shop that still had the whole line up of this series!!!  I had originally planned on making one and giving it to the grandbaby, but I think this will be grandma's "storytime with the grandbaby quilt that goes home with grandma" quilt.

I  LOVE these!!!  I found that first print with the tent on it at Homestead Quilts, LaPine, Oregon. (You have to stop at that one!!)  I gathered all the other prints from other shops I stopped in.  I plan on making this one for our 10 year wedding anniversary.  Not that I will get it done on time (it's May 26) for this year, but at least I have the fabrics to make it;)

A close up of some of the prints to go in the Camping quilt;) I love those mosquitos!!

I didn't want to spread this one all the way out, but it is a whole quilt top kit.  I picked this one up at the Stitchen' Post in Sisters, Oregon.

I spotted these little goodies bags at Quiltz in Ashland, Oregon.  That is a fun store with tons of goodies.  Worth the stop. And the ladies working there were great.  These bags exploded into this....

Too Fun!!!  I was thinking pincushions or something else kitchen related.  There is enough here to make a good sized wall hanging.  Not sure, but something fun;)

And, last but not least.....I stuffed this into my carryon.....

My mom gave this one to me as a gift.  She just bought herself a real cool one and has never used this one, so she asked if I wanted it.  Of course;)  It has a huge table to work on, and came with a walking foot.  I am going to try it out asap;)

I have tons of new goodies to work with and bunches of ideas in the head.

And before I go, I just realized that this will be my 101st post here with blogger, so I am going to host a small giveaway in celebration of the occasion (any reason to celebrate is good!!).  If you would like to be in the drawing here are the rules....

You have to be a followere already AND have left a comment in at least one of the last 20 posts I have made.  I really want this giveaway to go to those of you that have been active followers of my blog, so I apologize in advance if anyone feels left out, but it's my giveaway to set the rules for;)

If you want to be in the drawing, just leave a comment in this post and I will draw a name next Sunday, May 22.  Please make sure that you can be contacted so that I can send you the goodies if you get picked.

I am not sure what the goodies will be, but they will be fun;)

Good luck!!

Happy Quilting!!

Wow! What an amazing loot you have there. I'm amazed that you got it all in that bag. I think I know what's in store for that Halloween fabric. Can't wait to see what comes out of all of this!

I love the picture of Oscar, and that owl fabric is great. I can't believe you brought a sewing machine home, as well.

May 22 just happens to be my 40th wedding anniversary, so we will be on our anniversary road trip, but if I should win you could leave a comment for me.

Now, what are you going to choose for your first project?

I think you are a better "packer" than I am, and I thought I was pretty good! Congrats on your reaching your 100th post, but no need to include me in the drawing. I just want you to know I've loved following your blog all this time! You always have exciting things to share: scenery, hikes, travel, family, and most of all, interesting quilts! ---"Love"

Sign me up! Love the stuff you brought home. I always look forward to your posts. I often just lurk, but found a post back when your son had his accident that I left a message.

Your fabric finds, fantastic. I love the variety you picked. Those pink cows really made me giggle. Can't wait to see all the great quilts you will make with all you great fabrics and the new machine.

Oh where to start... First, sign me up for the giveaway, but that's not nearly the important part. Your new machine? I have EXACTLY that machine. Gave up on the last one (wore it out)years ago and went out in the middle of a retreat and bought it. I LOVE it! I hope you do too. It sews straighter than my mom's pricey Pfaff and has never let me down. My only complaint is that it doesn't like to start sewing at the edge of fabrics, so I have a scrap piece I start sewing in the middle of and use it as a leader. (Otherwise, it's knot-city!) And then there's the fabrics. Oscar seems to approve of it all. I love the Japanese-looking prints you got in Bend, the mosquitos would have jumped into my shopping basket if I'd been with you, too, and I really like the fabric your mom picked out for her bag. But they're all wonderful and I can't wait to see what all you put together with everything. I'm a little jealous of your shopping spree, but I suppose a few others felt that way towards me when I went to the quilt show in Ohio earlier this year...
