Sunday Slowdown

Whew!!  That was rough!  I worked this weekend for the Black Friday shopping spree....I tell you what...I thought I would never say it, but I was too tired after my shifts to even think about shopping for anything...even fabric!!!  I didn't spend ANYTHING this weekend!  Believe me, I thought about it long and hard, and came to the conclusion that I didn't "need" anything that was on sale.

I checked the mail tonight finally;)  I received the blocks from Liriopia....
Yay!! These will go great with all the other blocks;)  Thank you!!

As for my quilting lately....

Binding, binding, binding....that's all I've been doing lately.  These are almost done.  That makes four UFO's almost done now.  I got my daughter's placemats done, but didn't think they needed another picture;)  I'm still mulling over what to do next.  My stash is still a mess, so that will probably get some attention this week.

Speaking of my daughter, Nature has decided it's not the right time for another grandbaby.  She is in the middle of dealing with it right now.  I wish I could be there to help her, but at least I'm thinking good thoughts her way.

It's quiet here tonight.  It's actually quite welcomed.  I'm going to make another cup of tea, and start in on Christmas cards.  It's been years since we have sent them out, but for some reason it sounds like a good idea right now;)

Happy Quilting!!

Sorry to hear about your daughter. (I bet she wishes you were with her.) I like the pink and black quilts, and good for you for not needing to buy more fabric.

Nature has a way of taking care of things but I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter. Here's hoping she is healthy and can work through the loss as easily as possible. Having her son to look after will keep her busy.

Your pink and black quilts are so cute! Work sounds hectic, I don't like getting out to shop in crowds, I can only imagine what it is like to work with them. Toss a coin to decide what you want to work on next.

I'm very sorry about your daughter's loss. I'm sure she knows you are there for her even if not in person.

Good job getting UFO's done. I hope you can enjoy a spurt of new creative efforts now to help you recover from the crazy work weekend :)

Sorry to hear about your daughter's loss. Hugs to you and thru you to her.

I can understand being too tired to even buy fabric, but I hope it doesn't happen too often. :)
