Early to Rise...so I can get some quilting in!!

The new job is going much better so far than the previous two.  That's a good thing;)

I've managed to have the time to work on a couple of projects this weekend.
I finished the bindings on these two quilts.  I will probably take them over to the local quilt group soon for donation to the local women's shelter.

The placemats for my daughter (at least the black and white set) are almost done.  They just need the binding finished.

Hopefully the job stays good.  I had a sociology professor tell us about a friend of his that went to pumping gas after he got his doctorate.  People always ask him why he would take such a low paying job with such an education.  He tells them he does it because it makes him happy.  I couldn't ask for much more (okay, besides maybe owning my own shop) from a job...I get to hang around all the things that make me happy and think about quilting and such while I'm at work.  It pays way less than what I used to make, but I wouldn't want that sort of mental and physical stress again for any amount of money.

Thanks to everyone for listening over the past year....you've all been great;)
Happy Quilting!!

Lucky you, working at something that makes you happy, and hopefully inspires you, too. I really like the blue and red quilts. I'm sure they will find good homes.

You know, I think that a job that makes you happy, is much better than a job that you unhappy at but make lots of money.

Now if only I could find one that would make me happier...

You've done well for yourself, keep it up!
