Odd Fellows, or...I'm Glad I Bought that When I Saw It!

I'm finally getting settled in enough to consider what I'm going to work on next.  After my recent issues with unwashed fabrics and bleeding, I've been washing fabric like mad;)  I have a quilt on the wall that is about 15 years ago...and it's starting to bleed after all this time!!  I may have to retire it as it has embroidery work that can't be washed.  Oh well, lesson learned;)

On to the project....

Remember I showed you my string quilt....
I pulled this out of my stash to go with it.....

for the sashing/border.....

I'm thinking of a thin red or black border between the blocks and the day of the dead fabric with a red binding.

I like it!!!!

I don't know if I will call it "Confetti" or "Street Party"...what do you think?

Happy Quilting!!

Yep, I'm voting Street Party, too. It will look great with the black and red.

As I said before, I love your string quilt! Being an old lady, I can't say I'm crazy about the skull fabric, but I must admit it does look great with your string colors. I think a narrow black border will be great between the two.
Do you use Color Catchers when you wash your fabrics? It really does help to capture the bleeds. ---"Love"

Street Party is perfect. I vote black for the skinny border. That day of the dead fabric is perfect, too!

It looks awesome. I recently picked up some fabric with bright coloured skulls on a black background, even though I had no idea how I'd use it. I love what you have done with yours....and have been "gunna" make a string quilt for a while....Thank you for the inspiration!
