Tatoo and Skulls Quilt Done!!!!

I've been working on this quilt for some time now, so long so that I can't remember when I started it. I think it was about a year or so ago.  But....ta!! da!!!  Done!!!!!

Yep, that's my Tatoo Quilt;)  I love it!

I hand quilted it with a big primitive stitch around the edges of each block, and tied it in the middle of each one to make sure the batting didn't shift on me.  I didn't take a picture of them, but my fingers on my left hand look like I have to check my blood sugar a hundred times a day;)

I'm happy it's done.  I haven't finished a personal (something for me) project in ages.  Baby quilts here, quilt show stuff there, on and on.  I know I promised my brother and his wife a funky quilt, but they aren't getting this one.  I'm still not sure if I will keep it, or sell it on my Etsy site.  If I do decide to sell it, it will be for a pretty penny.

I have most of my pattern that I was putting together done, but I need my hubby's computer intelligence to get it put together in an emailable PDF format.  He won't be able to spend time on it until this coming Tuesday, so hopefully I will be able to share it with those who are interested then.

I could do housework the rest of the night...I put off doing the dishes to make sure my fingers were in quilting shape.  I could sort through paperwork, but I don't feel like thinking about bills right now.  Or I could work on another UFO, or even start a whole new project.

I think I will start the rest of my night off with a cup of coffee and some yoga.  That should get me centered.

Happy Quilting!!

I remember this quilt -- how clever of you to hand quilt
and tie it. I'm sure your brother and sister-in-law would love the funky, kinky look. Better not let them see it! I guess your 'quilter's block' is history.

This is a gerat quilt. It's not the fabrics I would pick out but it is really beautiful. Glad you got it finished and I hope you hang on to it at least for awhile. You put so much into it, it is really a special piece.

I'm looking forward to your pattern, it is a cute project. Tuesday isn't too far away, we will all be anxiously waiting.

Hope you decided to do something fun, the dishes will be there tomorrow. Enjoy yourself!

I love the colors, especially the red; they all work so very well together; it is quite a striking quilt! The prints are something I probably would not have chosen, but you love them, and that's all that matters. Looks like you did a great job with your quilting also. I think you should keep it too! Funny how we become so attached to a quilt we are making, isn't it? ---"Love"

I love it too! And every time I see that big stitch quilting I think to myself that I have to do that soon. (I was going to on a doll quilt and chickened out!)
