Busy Week So Far;)

It's been a busy week so far, and it's only Wednesday!!  But, that's okay.  I got the job I interviewed for yesterday!  I start next Tuesday.  It will be only part time, but I'm fine with that.  It's at a place that the hubby and I already shop at, so the discounts will come in handy.  Too bad they don't have any fabric;)

So, we are headed out for a quick bit of camping before I have to start next week.  A bit of fishing, some sunning, and some campfire....what a date!;)

I decided to turn that strip quilt into a utility quilt....

I'm just going to tie it...figured I didn't feel like wrestling with it in this heat if it's just going to be a utility quilt.  I backed it with most of what I had left of my slug bug fabric.  It's big, but fun;)

I have my eye on this project next....

I found this in the June 2004 issue of American Patchwork and Quilting magazine.  I really like the graphicness of this quilt.  Simple, yet striking.  Not sure what colorway I will do it in, or if it may even become scrappy, but the black will be there.

But, anyway...yeah...about the job.  I really need to go back to work.  Not just for the money, but because I've gone stir crazy in the house.  Besides...I finally ran out of batting!!!  That's a reason to go back to work if I ever heard one;) LOL;)

So, I'm outta here for a couple of days;)  Hopefully the fish are biting....mmmm trout!

Happy Quilting!!!

Yay for you! I'm so glad the interview went as planned.

I love that backing fabric - too fun! Hope you had a wonderful time camping. We need to get out and do that with the kids before the summer is totally gone. there is less than a month to the start of school...

Glad you got the job; I hope it turns out to be exactly what you want and need.
Have fun camping; don't get sun-burned! Sounds like fun.
Your strip quilt is so bright and cheerful! I probably would have never tried that, but you made it work really well! (But then, you always do!)---"Love"

Congratulations on the new job! Hope you really enjoy it along with the paycheck and employee discount! My youngest daughter worked at a Michael's when she was in high school, we loved the discount there!

Your strip quilt is beautiful, love all the wonderful colors and the backing fabric is adorable! Enjoy using it!

Hope you have much success with the fishing and the weather cools off and stays dry during your camping trip.
