Stitches in Bloom Quilt Show Pictures

I decided to get out and do some exploring today....exploring a quilt show that is;)  It's been a really long time since I have been able to get to a show.  I wasn't going to go because the budget is still tight, but the hubby said that I should get some "me" time and take myself.  So I did;)

Here are some photos from the show.  I didn't stop to get detailed information on any of the quilts, but enjoy them anyway....

These were from the challenge here. I think they did a great job;)

As for the rest of the quilts, I think they were great.....

I used to think star quilts were superb on their own merit, but not so much anymore.  Most of them can be paper pieced...unlike when I first started going to shows and they were all done the traditional way.  Still beautiful, just not awe inspiring.

I do, however, always enjoy fun quilts like this one.  I have Freddy's book here with me.  ONE of these days I am actually going to make a house quilt myself;)

Just plain cute;)

And then there is the kindred spirit;)  I may have to meet this person some time.

A closer look at the rooster...alot of detail in that.  Love the placement of the fabrics to make the feathers in the neckline.

I have tons more pictures to put up, but I am feeling a nap coming on.  I will post some more later.  I really enjoyed going to the show.  There was a lot of creativity at this one.

In the mean time, Happy Quilting!!

Glad you had a good time at the quilt show! Fun, yes??! My son would love the fish. The chickens have been popular in this area the past couple of years; I'm always amazed at how realistic they are! ---"Love"

Fantastic quilts. Glad you had some me time in the form of quilty beauty and inspiration.
Moving is hard, hard work and hard getting everything sorted out. Take time to enjoy some things and enjoy getting to know your new community.

Awesome quilts! So much inspiration there. I am not fond of house quilts, but that is one of the best that I've seen. You can do that. You have a photo and an imagination, LOL!
