Hello Everybody;)  Thought I would drop in and say hi!  I have been able to leave comments a bit more lately.  It seems to depend on how the blogger has their comment section set up.  I have left a few comments as "anonymous"...

Anyway, I managed to pull some quilting out of my head.....

I made it from the leftovers of the fabric I was using to make chicken pincushions out of last year.   Just reached in and grabbed something.  I figured out that I had been over thinking myself when it came to quilting recently, thus the quilter's block I had been suffering from lately.  I plan on giving to my mom...her birthday is coming up soon.  I still have that other cat quilt that I started a couple of years ago...the bleeding red quilt that Katie was so kind enough to find another batch of red for me (I have that on my UFO list.)

And.....

....the quilt inspector at work as normal;)
My mom is due down here sometime in the next week or so, so I really need to get this quilt done.  I have no idea how I am going to quilt it....I hand quilted the last one I made like this, but I just don't have the time to do it that way this time.

Not much else going on here.  The canning has slowed down.  We are still doing our volunteer stuff at the Biopark.  I have been taking the boy out for driving lessons at night when no one is at the mall.  He turns 18 in about a month.  He is excited and nervous at the same time.  I don't blame him.

Well, it's late and I still have to get the hubby's lunch together for work.  I got a little happy with the rotary cutter when I was cutting out the background pieces for the cats, so I might reach into the scrap pile and make some more;)

Good night all, and Happy Quilting!!

It's a super quilt! I made a similar in black & white which turned out dirty grey. Not that it was planned that way! I made a centre block with an applique mouse. Thankfully no images of it survive. Perhaps things might have turned out differently if I'd had a quilt inspector! ann :-)

The cat quilt is adorable! I have that pattern and a couple years ago I cut pieces to make one. The pieces are still on my shelf. I guess it qualifies as a UFO. One of these days.....

Your kitties are so cute! On the quilt and the inspector. I really have to make one for my sister, but I am trying to work down my UFO list. LOL
Happy stitching

Cute! Maybe you should label the quilt "In honor of my cat, ____ , my quilt inspector". ---"Love"

Oh Oscar...you're so cute it hurts! I love the cat quilt. I made similar cats quite a while ago that had blocks in their bellies for a wall-hanging for friends. I don't have a photo, but it turned out cute. For quilting, could you just do something simple like 1/4" inside each cat? I'm not sure how big they are, so maybe that won't work... I remember that excited/nervousness at learning to drive, too. It's a good thing - it will make him a better driver. I look forward to seeing what else comes out of the scrap pile!

Love the kitty quilt, someday I want to make one. With Oscar as the official inspector, it has to be great. I remember teaching kids to drive, it was scary for me. Parking lots at night are a good start. Have fun!
