Progress on Halloween Quilt

I've been stitching away this week.  Almost got it finished.  Here are some pictures....
I was concerned about the yellow.  But I took my own advice and added more in the border and the pinwheel block.  It looks better than it did when it was only in that one block in the middle of the quilt.

Close ups of the embroidered blocks I have done so far.....

I am enjoying the process;)  I have three more blocks to finish.  I wanted to get it done before we really start packing up the house.  I am trying not to get stressed about the move, but find myself doing so anyway.  I think most of the stress stems from the increase in rent we are going to have to pay.  But I know we will make it.

My son's arm is healing very well.  The last doctor visit got him clearance to resume normal activity, but to be careful because it could break at the ends of the plate if he hit too hard falling or something.

Anyway, I need to get a bit more productive around the house this morning.  Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend, and Happy Quilting!!

I love your Halloween quilt! The fabrics are great and the embroidery really lights it up. I love doing some embroidery on quilts, it is so relaxing. It's good to hear your son's arm is healing well. I hope he listens to the doctor and takes it easy on the rough stuff. It sounds like more sewing and stitching is just the thing to lessen the stress over your move. Things will be fine!

Yellow problem? I don't see it now for sure! Looks like all the colors work really well together, and that striped fabric ties in perfectly with all of them, especially the hearse fabric! Your embroidery makes the quilt even more special! ---"Love"

Very cute! What method did you end up using for marking for the embroidery? It looks like whatever it was is working well - I can't see it! I'm glad to hear your son is healing well and I hope he continues to do so. I hope the move goes smoothly. No move is without stress, but hopefully things are kept to a minium for you.

The quilt is so cute. Love your fabrics. The embroidery is coming out so well. I like how you balanced your yellow.

Glad the boy's arm is healing well. Maybe he can help you pack? LOL
Do you have a new place already? Are you going to Oregon? Good luck.

What a fun quilt! So colorful and the embroidery is wonderful! If you stick with stitching, you will find it helps to relieve a lot of stress (maybe that's why I do so much?) Glad your son's arm is healing well.
