I put my nose the needle and got this bad boy done.....
It still makes me giggle;)
Here is the back...

My mom sent the skull fabric about a month ago.  I just had to use it on this;)
Here is the binding....

I've had that striped fabric for almost 4 years now...it was time to put it to good use;)
While I was at it, I decided to get the binding done on the Valentine's Day quilt also....

Yay!!! Two projects D.O.N.E!!! That's nine yards or so of fabric from my stash used;) Yay for me!!

Well, of course that meant that I had to re-balance my stash...ha! ha!....with this....

Remember that quilt I made for my grandson because I didn't have enough of the zoo fabric to make one big enough for myself??  I found some more!!  I ordered 5 yards of it, and kept my finger's crossed that the order wouldn't get canceled like the last time I tried to order something online.  I went back to Hobby Lobby to get the green, and picked up the polka dot at JoAnn's.  I am hoping to have a top done this week.  I would try to get the whole quilt put together, but I am out of batting big enough for it right now.  Will have to wait until I get another coupon  as the price for the batting has gone up already.

I also got some more clutches put together, but failed to take any pictures of them.  The Hubby has been taking them to work and selling them here and there for me;)  Good stuff;)

It's 5 in the morning and I am so not used to being up this early.  I think I may go back to bed for a bit, and then get back to the sewing table for the afternoon.  The weather here is still so unseasonably warm...perfect hiking weather;)  Hopefully we will get out this week as I am starting to feel better than the last two weeks;)  I need to get out before the next allergy season sets in.

Anyway, hope you have all enjoyed your weekend, got some quilting done, and are fairing well;)
Happy Quilting!!

You got that finished fast!!! Love the colors! The striped binding is great. I was slammed by allergies this week, but it's better today. Hope you get some quilting in today. I like to sew early in the morning before DH gets up.

Congrats on finishing two projects! How come no clear picture of the Valentine quilt? Love all the fabrics. I am an early morning sewer, too.

I *love* that skull backing! And the binding stripes are perfect. I'd giggle at that quilt, too - smiling the whole time I was stitching down the binding. :)

Wow you're fast! The quilts all look fantastic and I think the skulls fabric is absolutely perfect. I think batting is 40% off at JoAnn's right now...and they're having a coupon commotion this week, too... Enjoy your sewing day, or hiking (it snowed here last night, so we're back to cold...yuck).

You must be sewing 24/7! Your quilt turned out really cute. I can see why it makes you giggle; it is a "happy" quilt! Nice job! ---"Love"

Those are happy finishes: happy fabrics (great use for that stripe!) and happy to have finished quilts. Enjoy getting out for some hiking..The weater isn't cooperating here yet.

Your quilt turned out great, really a happy quilt! I love the skulls backing and that stripe is perfect, really sets off the quilt.

Glad you were able to find some more hippo fabric, it is so cute!

We have gotten some yard work done but some of our trees are already shedding pollen that makes my nose and eyes itch. Have fun hiking! Hope you get a lot accomplished on your new quilt project.

I, too, love the Trip Around the World pattern. Your finished quilt is fantastic. I especially like the striped binding. You are definitely on a 'quilting' roll. Wonderful work.

You are a quilt finishing maniac! I have to laugh...I also have some of that striped binding fabric that I picked up 3 or 4 years ago...and the green from hobby lobby too! Also sorry to hear about your son's accident! That is scary! Hope he recovers well, and soon!
