Happy Tuesday morning;)  I got sidetracked this weekend with sewing and adjusting to the Hubby's new work schedule, and forgot to blog;)

The weather here has been wonderful, as I have mentioned in the last couple of posts.  The head cold is almost gone, but the cruds are lingering in the morning.  I really wish people would stay at home if they can when they are sick.

Katie had asked if that star quilt was my own design....sorry to say, not really;)  I pulled the idea from this

it is in this magazine....

The JULY/AUG 2004 edition of Fons & Porter.  If you are interested, and don't have the magazine, I could probably make a copy and send it out to you.  Let me know;)

I started a new project yesterday....

I've always wanted to do one of these "Trip Around the World" patterns, so I plotted my course, figured measurements, and went for it.  You wouldn't believe how hard it is to color and talk on the phone and pay attention to where you are coloring;)  I picked out these.....

loud, obnoxious, "been in my stash to long" fabrics to use on this one.  I was thinking that if I like the pattern enough, I have some more pieces that need to be put to good use.

I have the picture of it now....
I think it's great;)  Makes me giggle whenever I look at it.  Reminds me of a MooMoo dress;)

.  Gotta get back to whatever it was I was doing;)
Happy Quilting!!

You may have been inspired by that pattern, but you sure made it your own. I have to say I like your more :) Enjoy your trip around the world :)

Oh I love it! Loud and obnoxious? Nah. Bold and fun. And thank you, but no, I don't need a copy of that pattern. I've dug myself a deep enough hole without it!

Wow! Your trip around the world looks great. I really like how your colors play together. I think bright and beautiful is a good way to describe it.

The star pattern is great and I love what you did with it. My collector (hoarder?!?) side says ask for the pattern, my common sense side says "you have enough for now". I will keep it in mind! I love your "trip" quilt, the colors are bright and fun. It makes me think of a picnic in the park!

Ok, Flit won the argument about the Star pattern. She wants to play, LOL! Would you mind sending it to me? Love the Trip Around the World! It's going to be a really great quilt!
