Grandma's First Christmas!!!

Would you look at that!?!  He's so cute!!! (And I'm not talking about Santa here;))

So this is my first Christmas as an official grandma....I'm loving it;)  I won't be able to get up there until at least this coming spring, but my daughter is sending me pictures all the time....

He's a bottle-rocket;)  My daughter says he keeps her busy, to say the least.  He's learned how to roll over on to his tummy, and is putting everything he can reach in his mouth.  Definitely keeping mommy and daddy on their toes;)

My son showed up here this past Friday night after an adventurous first time flying by himself.  His flight was delayed for almost 2 hours, which put him behind schedule for his connecting flight.  He arrived in Vegas 10 minutes after his (now delayed) connecting flight was supposed to take off.  I called the airline and they said that it showed that the flight was still there.  So I'm back on the phone with the boy as he's running to the other end of the airport (they changed the gates on him).  He gets there and I hear the desk staff asking him who he was, his age, and that they were waiting for him.  Turns out there were a couple of "youths" on this flight that they were waiting for.  If he had been an "adult", they would have left without him!!

I haven't gotten any sewing done in the last week or so.  I finished up the quilt for my brother and his wife and got it off in the mail last week.  I'm working on some "relaxing " pants made from flannel for myself, the hubby, and my son.  I'm hoping to get back on track with the quilting after the boy goes home, but I don't seem to be in a hurry about it right now.  I think it may also be because I got a guitar for a Christmas gift from my husband and I have been spending all my "free" time practicing.  I used to play in school, so I'm brushing back up on the whole thing;)  Having fun;)

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great holiday season, and that the new year brings lots of quilty things and family happiness!!

Your little grandson is one handsome little boy. I am always amazed at how quickly they move from helpless newborn to baby on the go.

A guitar -- lucky you! What a great gift.
Merry Christmas!

What a darling baby! None of our kids live near us so we are traveling to see our grandchildren (and their parents) for Christmas. We got to take Jonah to see Santa Claus on Monday!

That photo of your grandson is priceless. He's definitely a little ham for the camera!

Enjoy your time with your son and playing the guitar. The quilting bug will bite again in time.
