Progress on the Witchy Quilt, and A Cat in The Tub!!

I got the little witchy wall hangind basted and ready for the quilting....
I'm going to attempt to freehand quilt this one....wish me luck;)

Here's the back....

I used up some of the halloween prints that I just thought I wouldn't really use for anything else.

And here is Oscar in supervisor mode....

"What?  Am I in the way or something?"

Mom sent me some goodies for my Halloween making....

Some beads, glitter, buttons, rick rack, and some sparkly black felt.  Very cool;)

So my wrist is feeling better....but now my back has been screaming at me!  I decided to take a hot bath with some epsom salt, with a side of red wine.  I'm laying in there, reading my Stephen King book, when all of the sudden Oscar falls in the bath tub!!  On my head!!  Thanks to my lightening quick reflexes I dropped the book (in the bathwater!!), and caught him and threw him across the bathroom before he could completely shred me.  I wound up with a good set of claw marks right on my jaw line...enough that he drew blood.
Needless to say, that took my mind off my back for a few minutes!!

But, all things considered, I'm okay;)  We've got mahi mahi and rice with steamed carrots and brussel sprouts for dinner.  I ordered Hocus Pocus from Netflix...I love the witches in this one;)  Very funny!!

Hope all is well out there and everyone is doing something fun and relaxing!!
Happy Quilting!!

I like your witchy wall hanging -- good luck with the quilting. Poor Oscar! I can just imagine how terrified he must have been.

Every witch needs a cat. Oscar thought he would apply for the position I guess. So much for your relaxing bath! Ann :-)

Oscar is so funny! It is amazing how most of the time they can walk around the edge of the tub just fine - but I guess this one time he miss-stepped. When we were cat sitting for DS/DIL when they were overseas, one of their cats would love to come in the bathroom with me. Actually, she wanted to drink water from the faucet, but she would walk around the tub. Then I would turn on the cold water a little for her to drink from and she would reach over somehow without falling in the water and drink.

So Oscar got a bit of a bath, did he? I'm glad he didn't cause too much bodily damage, though I'm sorry your book suffered. I'm wondering how long it will be before he hops back up on the edge of the tub? (With my kitties, I'd give them an hour, so long as someone was in the bathroom again! But the one most likely to fall in the tub has enough personality for two cats, but I think that squeezed out some of her smarts...) And the witch wallhanging looks great, by the way.

The witch is looking great, love the red shoes! Sorry your back is acting up but sounds like you moved pretty darn fast when kitty fell in! Glad you were not shredded, that would be bad. Hope you are feeling better, the book has dried out and Oscar has recovered, too!

Oscar looks like the perfect witch's cat. I'm sure that might have crossed your mind as he fell in and the claws came out! Poor kitty, poor you!

ouch! ouch! Sorry to hear your back is acting up. Hope it feels better soon. Glad to hear Oscar didn't shred you. Can't tell you how many books I have dropped into the tub.... and one cell phone too. It never ends well for the books or the phones. The witch is adorable. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.
