A little bit of this and that;)

We didn't make it to Santa Fe yesterday...it was supposed to rain all day.  I can handle a couple of showers here and there, but an afternoon of soaking is not my cup of tea;)

But we did manage to get out do some fun stuff.  We decided to take the bus downtown as a change of pace.  It was quite entertaining in its own way.  There are alot of "characters" that ride the line that we took, and they were in rare form.  We went to the downtown library branch to pick up a couple of good reads.  It's a different view point when you are on foot.  It was nice not to have to deal with trying to find a parking spot, and then paying for it.

On the way back, we hopped off the bus and headed for a local farmer's market.  We picked up a bunch of goodies....
This looks like what we used to be able to pull out of our garden a few years ago.  Those summer squash are impossible to find in the local markets.  Why?  I have no idea.  And those tomatoes....YUM!!!!  The whole bus ride home, I kept sticking my nose in the bag to smell all the freshness.

We picked up some chicken, and proceeded to make fajitas with some of those veggies.  Good stuff!!!

On the way back up to the apartment, I stopped to check the mail....

This came in from Ann....Thank You!!!  The chocolate didn't stand a chance....the hubby and I had it for dessert;)

My daughter sent some more pictures.....

I think it's great when they first start looking around and discovering the world.  You wonder what they are thinking;)

You think she's a happy mommy?  I think so;)

I know it's sideways, but it's the only photo I have of Daddy and Baby together.  I think he's proud too;)

I'm still working on the swap blocks for this month, but should have them done today.  The hubby is going shooting with a friend of his, so I will have most of the day to myself.  I found some fabric I can use for the green and hippo quilt.  Maybe I will get that done today too.

Anyway, have a great day and get some quilty time in!!
Happy Quilting!!
